A man in his 30s was stabbed to death on Tuesday morning in the northern Israel town of Kiryat Ata.

There were no immediate details on a possible motive, but the incident was described as a brawl by the police.

The Walla news site said the victim was a migrant from Eritrea.

The man, who was not officially identified, was taken to Haifa’s Rambam Medical Center in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Two suspects were arrested shortly after the incident, police said.

Depending on the developments in the investigation, officers will decide whether to request a day extension of the suspects’ remand from the Haifa Magistrate’s Court, police said in a statement.

On Sunday, a man in his 30s was killed in a brawl in central Israel, and another was seriously hurt in the southern Israel city of Ashdod.
