Three policemen were lightly injured Saturday in a rock-throwing incident in East Jerusalem.

The violence occurred as police arrested a youth suspected of previous rioting in the A-Tur neighborhood. Several dozen people gathered to protest the arrest and several hurled stones at security forces. One of the rock throwers was arrested.

On Friday, Palestinians threw rocks at Israeli police next to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount complex after Muslim prayers at the al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to Ynet, members of the Islamic Waqf, the administrators of the complex holy to Jews and Muslims, prevented additional stones from being thrown and took the young Palestinians who were involved into the mosque.

Israeli authorities arrested two minors suspected of taking part in the attacks.
