Sirens blare as army holds drill in Jerusalem area
IDF also said to test SMS and internet warning systems
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIDF Home Front Command conducted a test of its warning systems in the Jerusalem area Wednesday morning.
At 9:05, sirens blared in Beit Shemesh, Abu Ghosh, Givat Ze’ev, Beitar Ilit, Har Adar, Kiryat Ye’arim, Mevaseret Zion and the Mateh Yehudah Regional Council, as well as in Jerusalem.
In addition to the sirens, the Home Front Command was also reportedly testing a system that sends out alerts to mobile phones via SMS and another that sends out news flashes on the internet.
