Daily Briefing July 9: Protests heat up with overhaul bill up for first vote Monday

Fabian speaks about the unusual step of Hamas taking responsibility for a string of recent terror attacks, including a shooting outside the West Bank settlement of Eli, and last week’s car ramming and stabbing in Tel Aviv and shooting attack near Kedumim.

He also looks at the protest that took place overnight outside Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s home by anti-judicial reform activists, and their hopes the defense minister will get involved.

Horovitz discusses the intensifying anti-judicial overhaul demonstrations, as the first bill of the legislative package goes up for its first Knesset vote on Monday and the protest movement gears up for demonstrations in the cities, at the airport and outside the Knesset.

He also talks about European Union and United Nations criticism of Israel’s military incursion into Jenin last week.
