Likud, UTJ heads deny reports, say they’re working together to pass overhaul, draft law
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe ruling Likud party and the leaders of United Torah Judaism’s two factions, Yitzhak Goldknopf and Moshe Gafni, issue a joint statement attempting to deny reports that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking a one-year suspension of all judicial overhaul legislation following a revolt by the Haredi coalition parties.
“As opposed to what is being reported, all coalition heads are working in full cooperation to pass both the [ultra-Orthodox] enlistment law and the judicial reform,” the statement says.
