Man in 30s seriously injured in violent incident, reportedly a shooting, near Nazareth

A man in his 30s was seriously injured in a violent incident in Yafia, an Arab town near Nazareth, paramedics say.
He was injured by gunfire, according to local Arabic reports.
The man, whose condition is unstable, is being taken to Nazareth’s English Hospital for medical treatment.
The reported shooting comes amid a spike in a violent crime wave which has claimed 12 lives over the past week.
The victims include 11 Arab citizens and a police officer, who was shot and killed last night in Zalafa, just north of Umm al-Fahm, while chasing down suspects. Police have not released the name of the slain officer.
Yesterday morning, 41-year-old Mahmoud Samir Khatib was stabbed and killed in Kafr Yasif, an Arab town in northern Israel.
