Minister Elkin says terror attack attempts occur all the time, most are thwarted

Addressing this morning’s shooting attack in Jerusalem, which left five people dead, Minister Ze’ev Elkin says that “there are attempts to carry out an attack all the time, we are not aware of this because most of them are stopped before they come to fruition,” the Ynet news site reports.

Addressing a conference organized by the Yediot Aharonot newspaper, Elkin says that “despite unprecedented achievements” in the security sphere, “from time to time an attack still occurs — and unfortunately, this morning it happened again.”
