Police detain Al-Aqsa preacher who eulogized Haniyeh on suspicion of incitement, supporting terror

Police have detained Al-Aqsa preacher Sheikh Ekrima Sabri on suspicion of incitement and supporting terrorism after he delivered a eulogy for slain Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh during Friday prayers.
The State Attorney’s Office approved the investigation earlier this afternoon.
In his sermon, Sabri said that “the residents of Jerusalem are praying to God to have mercy on the martyr. We are asking for him to receive compassion and paradise.”
