UAE: Israeli failure to crack down on settler violence seen as tacit approval
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe United Arab Emirates blasts the latest spate of Israeli settler attacks in the West Bank.
“The UAE affirmed that this constitutes a provocative act, an incitement against Muslims, and an act of extremism,” reads a statement from the Emirati foreign ministry, which takes particular issue with the torching of mosques by settlers.
Abu Dhabi “warns against the continuous assaults by settlers, and calls on the Israeli government to assume full responsibility, condemn these practices, and hold the perpetrators accountable.”
“The UAE stressed that failure to act will be seen as tacit approval that will only further deepen the cycle of hatred, racism and instability,” the statement adds.
