US State Department announces charter flights to airlift US citizens out of Israel

The US State Department announces that starting Friday, it will organize charter flights for American citizens and their immediate family members looking to leave Israel but who have been unable to do so due to widening commercial flight cancellations amid the ongoing Gaza war.
“The Department of State has no higher priority than the safety and security of US citizens overseas,” it says.
