Tel Aviv police arrest man for trespassing at Swiss embassy

Police request permission from Swiss authorities before entering the premises

Police in Tel Aviv said Sunday they had arrested a man for trespassing at the Swiss embassy in the city.

According to a statement, police received a call on Saturday afternoon that the 43-year-old man had entered the site on Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Street and had holed up inside a car.

Police requested permission from Swiss authorities to enter the premises, whereupon they arrested the man and took him in for questioning.

The man was due to appear in court on Sunday.
