Chris Brown’s fraud troubles bring him to Israel early

After being accused of fraud in the Philippines, singer Chris Brown ended up canceling a planned Hong Kong concert and will arrive in Israel sooner than expected for his July 27 concert.

Instead of arriving on Sunday, a day before his Monday night concert in Rishon Lezion, Brown will instead arrive on Saturday, reported a local public relations firm.

As reported by the Associated Press, the Grammy award-winning singer’s departure from Manila was delayed because of fraud allegations against him and his promoter for a canceled concert last New Year’s Eve in the Philippines.

The recording artist was prevented from leaving on a private plane Wednesday pending clearance by the Bureau of Immigration. He was supposed to perform in Hong Kong on Wednesday night, but the delay in the Philippines appears to have forced him to cancel the concert.

The singer, never known for mincing words, posted a video rant on his official Instagram account that later appeared to have been removed.

Now Brown will arrive at Tel Aviv’s Dan Hotel on Saturday, July 25, according to a local public relations firm. His entourage, which includes six bodyguards, will be staying in 27 rooms through July 28.

He’ll be sleeping in the hotel’s Royalty Suite, which has also been occupied by Madonna, Mick Jagger, Barbra Streisand, U2’s Bono, Ashton Kutcher, Natalie Portman, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga and a few heads of state.

According to the hotel, Brown’s food and beverage requests include red and white wines, local beers, spring and mineral water, as well as almonds, nuts, peanuts and dried cranberries.

He may bump into Gloria Gaynor in the lobby. The disco queen is also staying at the Tel Aviv hotel prior to her July 29 performance.
