Airlines call for civilian flights not to be targeted in Mideast fighting
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAirlines call for civilian flights to not be targeted during the conflict in the Middle East after airports were struck.
“It is critical that states respect their obligation to keep civilians, and civil aviation free from harm,” says Willie Walsh, head of the International Air Transport Association.
“We all hope for an early peaceful resolution to the current hostilities,” adds Walsh, whose association unites more than 360 airlines that account for 85 percent of commercial passenger traffic.
