In 2024, reservists served an average of 94 days on duty, while last year that dropped to 78 days, according to new statistics published by the IDF.

The IDF publishes the data after Reservists Appreciation Day, an annual celebration of reservists.

According to the military’s data, 37% of reservists are parents, a statistic that it says “illustrates the personal and family sacrifice required of them and their families throughout the fighting.”

The IDF says that the cities with the most reservists are Tel Aviv with 42,000, Jerusalem with 23,000, Rishon Lezion with 16,000, Beersheba with 15,000, and Haifa with 14,000.
