Criminal probe launched into officer who shot surrendered Palestinians in Jenin

The Department for Internal Police Investigations has opened a criminal investigation into a Border Police officer who was filmed fatally shooting two Palestinian terror suspects in Jenin after they had surrendered.

The agency confirms the probe was launched after it contacted the Military Police regarding the incident, which took place yesterday evening during a counter-terrorism operation in the West Bank city.

Footage from the incident shows the two suspects exiting a building with their hands raised before they were killed.

The IDF and police said yesterday that the “incident is under review by the commanders on the ground, and will be transferred to the relevant authorities for examination.”
