France’s Macron says Trump’s Jerusalem move ‘regrettable’

French President Emmanuel Macron brands Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital as “regrettable,” calling for efforts to “avoid violence at all costs.”
Addressing a press conference during a state visit to Algeria, Macron affirms “the attachment of France and Europe to the two-state solution, Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace and security within internationally recognized borders, with Jerusalem as the capital of the two states.”
