Hundreds of Haredi protesters block roads in Beit Shemesh following the arrest of three men suspected of having broken into the city’s police station last week, the latest in continuing protests against the police and ultra-Orthodox conscription.

Officers at the scene declare the demonstration illegal and order participants to clear off the roads, police say.

Ultra-Orthodox demonstrators are seen trying to stop buses from continuing along roads and shouting as police urge them to disperse near a traffic circle in the city.

Earlier today, law enforcement announced they raided several homes in Beit Shemesh and arrested three suspects in last week’s break-in at the city’s police station, which saw rioters breach a gate to the compound and set fire to nearby vegetation.
