IDF reiterates ‘immediate’ evacuation warning for Beirut’s southern suburbs ahead of strikes

The IDF reiterates its evacuation warning for residents of the southern suburbs of Beirut, a known Hezbollah stronghold, ahead of strikes against the terror group.

“Urgent warning to residents of the southern suburb of Beirut, especially those who have not yet evacuated. We reiterate and emphasize: save your lives and evacuate your homes immediately,” says army spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee.

“The terror activity carried out by Hezbollah in the suburb compels the IDF to act against it with force. We do not intend to harm you. For your safety and security, you must evacuate immediately,” he says.

The IDF first issued the evacuation warning, covering four major neighborhoods in the southern suburbs — known as the Dahiyeh — on Thursday.

The military has since conducted dozens of strikes against Hezbollah targets in the area, including destroying several multi-story buildings.
