NY Jewish groups announce ‘solidarity gathering’ near synagogue targeted in protest

Jewish groups in New York City announce a “solidarity gathering” on Thursday near Manhattan’s Park East Synagogue.
Anti-Zionist activists targeted the synagogue in a vitriolic protest late last month.
“Join us as proud New Yorkers, proud Jews and proud Zionists as we stand together in solidarity to send a clear and powerful message: Together, we will always defend our community’s values. And we will never waver in our support for Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish homeland,” organizers say.
The solidarity gathering is backed by the UJA-Federation of New York, the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, and the city’s branches of the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee.
The rally will take place on Thursday at 6 p.m.
