Palestinian Authority says two killed by settlers in West Bank

Two Palestinian men were shot dead by settlers today in the Palestinian village of Qaryut, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Authority’s Health Ministry says. Israeli forces do not immediately comment.

The dead are identified as Muhammad Muammar, 52, and his brother Fahim Muammar, 47. The elder brother was shot in the head and the younger brother in the pelvis, the PA ministry says.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reports another three people were injured by gunfire.

Footage published by Palestinian outlets from shows ten settlers standing on a hill in the village, one of whom trains an assault rifle on an off-camera target.

Separate footage shows four men carrying a man bleeding from his head.
