Police arrest anti-government activist for allegedly inciting violence in post calling for ‘rebellion,’ reports say

Police arrest anti-government activist Dr. Yolanda Yavor, a Tel Aviv University lecturer from Or Akiva, for social media posts allegedly inciting violence, Hebrew media outlets report.

“The only choice is to be, that is to fight the traitor, the mouthpieces, the damned collaborators and his militias with all the strength and all means — or to stop,” she wrote, according to the Ynet news site.

“We said ‘democracy or rebellion,’ remember?” she wrote, referencing a chant at anti-government protests. “So let’s have a rebellion. But a real one, like one imported from Romania, not from Ali Express from the corner of Kaplan.”

She hashtagged, “Netanyahu is a traitor,” “dictators are not overthrown at the ballot box,” and “they’re coming to take you.”

Police will request to extend her custody by five days tomorrow at the Haifa Magistrate’s Court, the Maariv news site reports.

Yavor was arrested for allegedly inciting the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s murder in September.
