Police shut down a Tel Aviv nightclub and arrested four of the partygoers after they attacked and bit officers last night, law enforcement says.
Officers were initially called to the club on the city’s bustling Rothschild Boulevard due to a brawl that had broken out. Teams that arrived at the scene were confronted by two women who attempted to stop them from investigating the incident.
The women were then joined by two men, who assaulted the officers, hurling threats and even trying to bite the cops. Two officers required medical treatment as a result.
Additional forces were called to the scene and arrested the four for assault, obstructing police officers, and making threats. The nightclub was swiftly shuttered by police.
The suspects, all in their 20s and 30s, reside in Atlit, Rishon Lezion and Ramat Gan, law enforcement adds. They will appear in court today, where police will request an extension on their remand.
