Religious affairs minister to take part in cabinet meeting via secure link at DC embassy

Religious Services Minister Matan Kahana will join tonight’s cabinet meeting through a secure terminal at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC, his office says.
Kahana has been in the United States for the past week, meeting with local Jewish communities to drum up support for his proposed religious reforms.
Shortly after the cabinet meeting, Kahana is scheduled to return to Israel, as he was originally scheduled to do, his office says.
Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman and Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked — who are both in London — are also expected to take part in the meeting remotely via a secure link.
