Israeli man lightly injured in Jerusalem assault
Assailant on the run after incident in Talpiot; police investigating motive for attack that was first reported as a stabbing

The assailant fled the scene on Poalei Tzedek Street in the Talpiot neighborhood. The victim was attacked as he exited a store.
Security forces were searching for the attacker. The motivation behind the attack was being investigated, police said. Initial reports had said the man was stabbed.
The victim was approximately 25 years old, and sustained injuries to his upper body, the Magen David Adom emergency service said. He was taken to the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital for treatment.
