Fatah glorifies female terrorists on Facebook page
Abbas’s party praises 2 suicide bombers who killed 8 as ‘hero’ and ‘bride of Palestine’ in posts marking anniversaries of their separate attacks

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah party is glorifying female terrorists even as Abbas himself told Israeli TV last week that he “extends his hand in peace.”
In Facebook posts this week, Fatah praised two female suicide bombers who in total killed 8 and wounded over 100 Israelis in 2002.
The party’s Facebook page published pictures of the two terrorists and referred to one as a “hero” and the other as a “bride of Palestine,” according to the NGO Palestinian Media Watch.
Both posts ended with the praise: “Glory and eternity to our righteous Martyrs.”
Andalib Takatka detonated her suicide bomb on Jerusalem’s Jaffa Road on April 12, 2002, killing 6 and wounding more than 80.
Ayyat al-Akhras was the youngest female Palestinian suicide bomber (aged 17) and detonated her bomb near a Jerusalem supermarket on March 29, 2002, killing 2 and wounding 28.
An April 13 post on Fatah’s official Facebook page contained the text:
April 13, 2002 – today is the anniversary of the death as a martyr of the martyrdom-seeker, the hero Andalib Takatka from the town of Beit Fajjar, daughter of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) in Bethlehem, who carried out a martyrdom-seeking operation in Jerusalem in which 6 Zionists were killed, and dozens injured. Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs. We remain loyal to the path.
A post on March 28, dedicated to al-Akhras, said:
14 years since the death as a martyr (Shahida) of the bride of Palestine and the Fatah Movement (Ayyat Al-Akhras), Daughter of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, Daughter of Palestine and the Deheisheh refugee camp, the resolute fortress. Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs.
