An Israeli tourist was struck and killed by a car in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

The woman, who was fatally struck on Friday while crossing the street, has yet to be publicly identified.

The Foreign Ministry said it was aware of the matter.

The incident followed several other recent cases in which Israeli tourists have died abroad.

Last week, a man aged around 50 was killed in a diving accident at a resort in Malta, and two weeks ago a six-year-old Israeli girl was killed in a jet ski accident in Cyprus.

In June, an Israeli man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Greece, while in May an Israeli woman was killed in an ATV accident there.
