Deri: IDF should ‘eliminate from the air’ any terrorist identified as an arsonist

Shas leader Aryeh Deri writes on X that Palestinians ostensibly responsible for starting today’s major fires across the country should be “eliminated from the air.”
Though the cause of the many fires is being investigated, including by the Shin Bet security agency, and an East Jerusalem suspect has been arrested, little evidence has been produced so far to back up assertions of mass arson.
“Arsonists during wartime are terrorists in every sense,” Deri writes. “I call on the prime minister to instruct the IDF to eliminate from the air any terrorist identified as an arsonist.”
He adds: “Whoever starts fires during a heatwave and war — their blood is on their own head. This is a ticking time bomb, just like someone who fires a weapon.”
