From Haredi MK: Court’s ‘evil regime’ trying to drag the country into civil war

By ordering the government to draw up criminal and economic sanctions against Haredi draft dodgers, the “evil regime” of the High Court of Justice is “trying to drag the country into a civil war against the Haredim,” charges Agudat Yisrael MK Yisrael Eichler.
“Today, the dictatorship imposed a decree on all authorities to forcibly arrest Torah students en masse,” he says, claiming that the court is holding Israeli democracy hostage and that it has “staged an anti-Jewish coup d’état.”
However, “as long as the Knesset has not yet been locked shut, we will continue trying to save the Torah students from their enemies,” he continues, promising to once again advance legislation to resume the payment of taxpayer-funded childcare subsidies for the the children of draft evaders.
