Haredi newspaper calls Ben Gvir ‘pyromaniac politician’ over Temple Mount remarks
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleYated Neeman, Haredi newspaper affiliated with the coalition’s Degel Hatorah faction — part of the United Torah Judaism party, calls National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir the “pyromaniac politician” after he voiced support for putting a synagogue on the flashpoint Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City.
The newspaper cites a long-standing opinion by some rabbis on Jewish law that forbids Jewish people to ascend the holy site, decrying Ben Gvir’s “severe” remarks and accusing him of “endangering the residents of the holy land.”
