Head of Sha’ar Hanegev council Ofir Libstein killed in gunfight with Hamas terrorists

The head of the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council, Ofir Libstein, was killed during fighting with Hamas terrorists this morning, local authorities say.

“Ofir was killed when he went to defend a town during the terrorist attack,” the council says.

The deputy head of the council, Yossi Keren, is currently filling his place.
