Netanyahu says Israel developing ‘new alliances’ in Arab world

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel hopes for peace with the Arab world despite the ongoing turmoil in the region.

“The Arab Spring has still not ended and the instability is not only in our region but throughout areas around us,” Netanyahu says in a speech at the opening of the 21st Knesset, referring to the series of anti-government uprisings that began in 2011.

Netanyahu says despite this, Israel is developing “new alliances” and hopes to develop ties with its neighbors.
