Palestinian UN envoy calls on US to ‘rescind’ Jerusalem recognition
The Palestinian envoy to the UN Riyad Mansour blasts Israel’s “glee” at the Jerusalem declaration.
Mansour cites “global consensus” against Washington’s recognition of the city as Israel’s capital. He says the decision by the US should be reconsidered and rescinded.
“There can be no just and lasting solution to the Palestine question without a just solution” to Jerusalem, he says, calling the city “the heart of Palestine.”
