Several Border Police officers were wounded this morning, including one who was hit in the head with a rock, during clashes with settlers during the evacuation of an illegal outpost in the West Bank, police say.
The clashes took place while security forces and Civil Administration personnel began an evacuation and demolition operation against the Tzur Misgavi outpost, southeast of Efrat.
The IDF and police say that during the operation, “violent riots broke out” involving hundreds of people, including dozens who tried to barricade themselves at the site, “which included attacking security forces with stone-throwing, the throwing of iron rods and various objects, as well as the burning of tires and vehicles.”
Six suspects were detained by the forces amid the clashes, the military and police add.
