Eyal Yifrach, 19, who was abducted last Thursday with two other yeshiva high-school students, a few years ago played a very different role in a kidnapping: In his eleventh grade school production, Yifrach was cast in the part of heroic rescuer of his abducted friends.
Footage of the performance, uploaded earlier this week, shows the student bouncing on stage and releasing his bound friends. The comedic show was put on in honor of the Purim holiday a few years ago when Yifrach attended the Darchei Noam high school in Petah Tikva.
“Yifrach, our dear brother. [We are] waiting for you at home and anticipating your return,” reads the caption on the video, which is signed by his high school classmates.
Yifrach, along with Naftali Fraenkel, 16, and Gil-ad Shaar, 16, were last seen at a hitchhiking post in the Gush Etzion region of the West Bank on Thursday night. Israel has maintained Hamas is responsible for the abduction. The terror group has praised the incident but has not taken responsibility.
