A German tourist attempting to enter Israel from Jordan at the Eilat-Aqaba border crossing Wednesday attempted to grab the weapon of an Israeli border guard during a security check and was forcibly subdued.

No injuries were reported in the incident and the man was denied entry into the country.

Authorities said the man, in his thirties, first entered Israel via Ben Gurion Airport a month ago, and was trying to return to the country after a stay in Jordan.
