Arson incitement suspect’s remand extended by one day

The remand of Anas Abu Dabas, 24, from the predominantly-Bedouin town of Rahat, was extended today by one day at the Beersheba Magistrate’s Court, the Walla news site reports.

Abu Dabas is suspected of posting inciting comments calling for arson on his Facebook page. He was arrested by police last night.

However, Israeli Arab lawmakers say his post was misunderstood and meant to be “sarcastic.”
