The lifeless body of an elderly man, which authorities believe belongs to a 90-year-old Palestinian who went missing months ago, was found decomposing in the northern West Bank, police say.

The corpse, located yesterday in a grove near the settlement of Avnei Hefetz, has been sent to the Abu Kabir forensic institute for further examination.

Police say they are “probing the suspicion that the corpse belongs to a 90-year-old Palestinian who has been missing since January 26, 2026.” The investigation is ongoing.
