Firefighters working to keep flames from Route 1
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFirefighters in the area of Sha’ar Hagai west of Jerusalem are working to keep a wildfire from spreading toward Route 1, a main artery linking the capital to Tel Aviv, Army Radio reports.
The highway remains open.
Elsewhere, firefighters are working on tamping down other smoldering fires and keeping them from flaring up, as well as looking out for fresh blazes.
