Free travel in Carmel Tunnels toll road for Haifa residents

Haifa residents are being allowed to travel free of charge in the Carmel Tunnels – usually a toll road – from Friday at 1 p.m. to Saturday at 8 p.m.

Residents of the city who are not toll subscribers will be asked to present IDs when they enter the tunnels, the Walla news website reports.

The tunnels connect two sides of the hillside city.
