US, Russia reach fresh Syria ceasefire deal – report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAl-Jazeera reports that diplomats at the UN, including the US and Russia, have reached a deal to cease Syrian fighting, though the regime and rebel groups have yet to sign on.
The channel says the deal was reached in the framework of a UN task force chaired by Washington and Moscow.
The deal, like an earlier one that failed to take effect, would not include ceasing fighting against the Islamic State and al-Nusra Front terror groups.
There is no official confirmation.
