Ya’alon: Israel decided from day 1 not to intervene in Syria
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleDefense Minister Moshe Ya’alon tells the Munich Security Conference that Israel made a strategic decision not to get involved in the civil war being waged in neighboring Syria.
“We decided from the beginning not to intervene in Syria,” he says, according to Channel 10. “Israel is in a very sensitive situation, but we will not tolerate any violation of our sovereignty, and if that does happens, we will respond harshly.”
He adds: “The Russian intervention in Syria has created for us two bad options – one is Islamic State and the second is Iran.”
