Dozens of firefighting teams along with four planes and a helicopter were battling Saturday to get a brush fire near Even Sapir in the Jerusalem hills under control.
However, firefighters told Channel 2 that they were having trouble containing the blaze due to strong winds and its location in the hills.
Firefighters and police were preparing to evacuate people from the nearby area of Aminadav out of fear that the fire could spread.
Residents of the area were still recovering from a fire Wednesday that forced the evacuation of 20 homes and caused damage to three.
It was not immediately clear what caused the blaze.
