Speeches by Obama, Rouhani highlights of Tuesday’s session
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleMore than 130 world leaders are meeting this week at the annual General Assembly of the United Nations in New York.
Addresses by leaders commenced Monday morning with a speech by the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon.
President Barack Obama spoke fourth, following a speech by the president of Brazil. Obama will be followed by President Abdullah Gul of Turkey.
Perhaps the most awaited speech of Tuesday’s session is the twenty-fourth, to be delivered by new Iranian President Hasan Rouhani. Rouhani has taken a newly conciliatory tone toward the West.
