Couple found dead in northern Israel after suspected murder-suicide

A man and a woman were found shot dead on Sunday in northern Israel, in what police suspect to be a murder-suicide.
Police suspect that the man, 67, shot his 54-year-old wife and then turned the gun on himself. The couple was not previously known to social services.
The Magen David Adom rescue service said first responders received a report that a man and a woman were found unconscious on the Ashdot Yaakov kibbutz in the Jordan Valley area.
According to an MDA spokesperson, paramedics found the two individuals with no vital signs, and declared them dead at the scene.
The Israel Police said it opened an investigation into the incident.
