Afghan Taliban: Israeli strikes ‘attempt to aggravate violence’ in the Middle East

Afghanistan’s Taliban government condemns retaliatory strikes by Israel on military targets in Iran, saying they will intensify violence in the Middle East.

The strikes are “an attempt to aggravate the violence in the region, which further complicates and intensifies the unfavorable situation in the region,” a statement from the Afghani foreign ministry says.

Israel launched its long-awaited strike against Iran early this morning, weeks after the Islamic Republic’s massive ballistic missile barrage on the country, with the military saying the “precise strikes” by the Israeli Air Force targeted strategic military sites — specifically drone and ballistic missile manufacturing and launch sites, as well as air defense batteries.
