Blue and White seeks legal backing for Edelstein ouster
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Blue and White party is asking the Knesset’s legal adviser to issue an urgent opinion on whether Knesset speaker Yuli Edelstien has the power to block a debate on replacing him on Monday, after the Knesset is sworn in.
The letter notes that Edelstein backed a vote on keeping him as Knesset speaker almost a year ago, when the short-lived 21st Knesset was sworn in.
