Blue and White seeks way to hold Knesset debates
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Blue and White party is urging Health Minister Yaakov Litzman, Knesset speaker Yuli Edelstein, and Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to ease restrictions on gatherings or find some way to allow Knesset votes to take place, along with committee meetings, the Walla news site reports.
The request comes amid an effort to hold a debate on replacing Knesset speaker Yuli Edelstein, now that Gantz has the support of 61 MKs to take power.
Edelstein earlier indicating he would do whatever possible to thwart any debate on replacing him, calling it an “attempted hijacking of the legislature.”
