Extremist ultra-Orthodox protesters again rally near IDF recruitment office
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleDozens of extremist ultra-Orthodox men arrive for the second straight day at the entrance to the IDF’s recruitment office at Tel Hashomer to decry the enlistment of yeshiva students.
Across the road, a women-led demonstration is being held against the ultra-Orthodox refusal to enlist amid the war in Gaza.
Yesterday was the first day in which some 900 first recruits were set to show up, though only a handful actually came amid a sweeping Haredi campaign calling on would-be draftees to ignore the summonses.
