Hasan Abu Ghariba named as psychiatrist accused of sexual crimes against patient

A court okays for publication the identity of a psychiatrist arrested earlier this month on suspicion of sexual misconduct against a patient.

Hasan Abu Ghariba, 32, from the Bedouin town of Laqiya in southern Israel, is accused by a young woman of committing serious sexual crimes against her as part of the treatment at a Beersheba facility.

His remand in custody has been extended several times.
