Hatzalah volunteer and her mother among three victims ID’d after Beit Shemesh strike

Mother and daughter Sarah and Ronit Elimelech, and Oren Katz, are identified as three of the nine people killed when an Iranian ballistic missile struck the city of Beit Shemesh earlier today.
The municipality names the three victims, all residents of the city, in a statement made hours after the strike, which also destroyed a synagogue and wounded some 50 people.
Searches had continued into the evening for Ronit, a United Hatzalah volunteer, and her mother after first responders found her medical kit and vest amid the rubble. Two of Ronit’s children were rescued from the rubble.
